I read somewhere that crock pots were only supposed to be used in the winter or that they were for winter meals only. That made me really mad because I was like 1.) How can you make rules to the way in which I cook my food and 2.) That makes absolutely no sense. Who WANTS to actually cook in the summer? Wouldn’t it make perfect sense to use a crock pot? Anyway I don’t really care what the reasoning behind this thinking is. I have a crock pot. I love my crock pot. And in the summer it is my best friend. So enjoy this tasty crock pot recipe for when you want BBQ chicken but it’s either too hot outside to grill, there’s no way you’re cutting on an oven to bake them, or you simply just don’t have the time to do alll that. ENJOY!
INGREDIENTS: This is so simple. I’m for real. I’m not one of those people who use the word “simple” then go on to describe something totally opposite. That is NOT me.
1 bag of frozen chicken wings
1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ Sauce (or a BBQ sauce of your preference. If you’re really fancy you can make your own but I personally don’t have time for that š )
1/2 cup Teriyaki Marinade
Adobo seasoning
Onion Powder
Black Pepper
Dassit. Dassit. Dassit. I’m sorry I don’t use measuring spoons for seasonings I probably should but I don’t soooo…yea season to taste Queens. Season to taste.
WHAT TO DO: This is even simpler. I hate when I’m looking for a quick and easy crock pot recipe and the cooking entails some sort of coming back and altering of the food midway through and I’m just like…no. That’s not easy enough. This is though. I’m for real.
Season chicken to taste and set into crock pot
Pour 1/2 cup of Teriyaki marinade over chicken
Pour 3/4 bottle of BBQ sauce over chicken
Cook on low for 7 hours.
AND there it is. Crock pot chicken that falls off the bone. SO GOOD!
Peace, Love, & Blessings
