Hey beauties! Happy Friday! It’s the first weekend of Fall and I’ve been having all pumpkin spice everything for the past couple of weeks so I’m more than ready. I like to be prepared for these sort of things ;). Last weekend was super busy for me attending work events in the city and tending to the crew. A mothers job is nevaaa done. This weekend I intend to chill and catch up on blog things. Leaving you all with a few good links.
I have a confession to make. I got married…and I didn’t wear white. There it is! Two years ago, this younger (and less financially equipped lol) girl eloped with a very small intimate ceremony on a snowy morning in February…in a red dress. And I wouldn’t change it for the world! But let’s be honest, every girl wants a dream wedding so we’ve always planned that on our 10 year anniversary we would renew our vows and plan the wedding of my dreams. So I was just on Instagram scrolling my feed like normal when I came across this super dope brand Nubian Skin. It’s a nude lingerie and hosiery brand for women of color. Here. For. It.
Choosing the right bathing suit is always like mission impossible for me. I don’t do the bikini thing, y’all already know. So I’m forever searching for the perfect high waist or chic one piece. I’m headed to the beach in a couple weeks so obviously finding the right bathing suit is all I’ve been thinking about. Here are a few that have caught my eye and are exactly what I’m looking for.
This summer I have been obsessed with floral print. I don’t know why as I’ve never really liked it before. But, this trend has really grown on me. Although the days are flying and I’m already seeing back to school ads (where has the time gone?), I took advantage of a few early summer sales and picked up a couple pairs of floral print shorts. I can’t wait to rock them! The thing with floral print though is you have to be careful. The line between chic and not, is very thin. You DON’T want to end up looking like someone’s grandma (*waves* Hey Grandma Hey!).
