Hey beauties! Happy Friday! It’s the first weekend of Fall and I’ve been having all pumpkin spice everything for the past couple of weeks so I’m more than ready. I like to be prepared for these sort of things ;). Last weekend was super busy for me attending work events in the city and tending to the crew. A mothers job is nevaaa done. This weekend I intend to chill and catch up on blog things. Leaving you all with a few good links.
So I was just on Instagram scrolling my feed like normal when I came across this super dope brand Nubian Skin. It’s a nude lingerie and hosiery brand for women of color. Here. For. It.
Choosing the right bathing suit is always like mission impossible for me. I don’t do the bikini thing, y’all already know. So I’m forever searching for the perfect high waist or chic one piece. I’m headed to the beach in a couple weeks so obviously finding the right bathing suit is all I’ve been thinking about. Here are a few that have caught my eye and are exactly what I’m looking for.

I don’t know what it is but I’ve really been loving stripes lately. Any stripes. Stripes on shirts, skirts, maxi dresses gimme all of it! Something about them just says casually sophisticated to me. Is that a term? Lol.
So. How about the Met Gala last night! I was glued to my phone…like literally drooling over all the absolute gorgeousness emulating off the red carpet yesterday evening. As usual the Metropolitan Museum of Arts kicked off it’s annual fundraiser with breathtaking fashion. The theme this year was Charles James and of course there were some hits, some misses, and some super hard side eyes. I ain’t saying no names though ;). Through all of the impeccable fashion I of course had my favorites with Rihanna slayingggg as my absolute favorite of the night! Take a look!
Oh my goodness this weekend was everythinggg as far as the weather was concerned. It was downright beautiful outside. I was itching to get out with the kiddies first thing in the morning but Friday night was wash day and my flat twists were not dry by the time we went to head out. So turban life for me it was.

Because I have been absolutely SWAMPED this “recap” is mad late, but don’t charge it to my heart loves. I still wanted to bring you all a few take aways from this uber inspiring event.
New York! Over the weekend my friend and IÂ took a mini road trip to NYC. We were headed to the In her Shoes Blog & Essence Magazine beauty and brains behind the brand series, with a pit stop for brunch and other fun in New York. This not so Spring weather had me pressed all week about what to wear as it was just too cold to wear my orginially planned dress so I went to my old faithful casual chic look…I still was cold but cute so it worked out ;).
