Happy Friday. Happy August. Happy Day! Can you believe it’s August though seriously? Where is the time going?! Le sigh. So anyway, guess what? I finally got my hands on the new (well maybe not so new since it only took me forever and a day to find it) Maybelline Nudes Palette. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was when I first found out about this. A drugstore neutral palette?! Here for it. Yes ma’am.
Summer is sooo close I can feel it. Besides being excited for warm days and beach trips I’ve been LOVING changing up my makeup look. I’m always torn in the summer because on one hand I really don’t like to wear too much makeup when it’s hot but on the other I love summer makeup sooo…here we are. Summer makeup for this brown queen is bronzey, glowy, lightweight goodness. The best part is that I can achieve summer makeup looks with ease using both high end and drugstore makeup picks.
I feel like I haven’t done a favorites post in so long. Every time I try to get back on board…I fail *Kanye shrug*. But let us not dwell on the past and instead focus on how awesome is it that I’m doing a monthly favorites on the last day of the actual month! Do you know how major that is?! Of course, because it’s me, most (read all) of my favorites are beauty things. That’s just the kinda girl I am <3.
In the spirit of spring I’ve been doing some cleaning around the house and this past weekend the task was my makeup storage and organization…well at least part one of it (don’t judge!) and I found so many old favorites that have made their way to the back of my collection. It was like going shopping in my own collection! This was a perfect opportunity to pull out some old faves for fresh new beauty looks!
This past weekend was the weather I’ve been waiting for! Saturday was so pretty out. Just lovely. I was super busy, as usual this weekend but most of the day Saturday I was out running errands. Perfect day for simple makeup and bright colors. Continue reading
It’s the fourth day of March and this is technically late but ehh who’s counting? I told ya’ll I would get better with my monthly favorites starting in January so here I am! Pretty much all my favorites last month were makeup products. No surprises there! But I do have a great nail and skincare fave as well so that makes this versatile…right? No? Oh well. Let’s get into it anyway ;).
Hey loves! So I RARELY do haul posts but this one was so necessary! Ever since the internets started buzzing about Maybelline’s Spring collection I was READY. All I knew was that there’d be limited edition the buffs lipsticks and the nudes nail lacquers. So pretty much perfection in a bottle. It honestly took me awhile to find these. But they finally turned out up at my local Rite Aid and of course I had to pick up a few things.

Happy Friday Queens! We have made it through another week. Let’s all give thanks and be happy :). Snow here in Philly has been insane and life has been crazy so it’s only fitting to post about something as elegant and serene as nude lipsticks while the rest of my world is (somewhat organized) chaos! I’ve been pretty obsessed with warm nudes and neutrals lately which matches my current feelings. Makeup for me is like that. I go through my seasons in makeup just as I do life. My faces have been very warm, calm, and elegant. Ohhhh how I just loveee pretty!
